Families in both Dundee communities can train at Blackhawk TaeKwonDo’s one Carpentersville school. 7th Dan Grandmaster Anthony Iannone brings 40+ years of TaeKwonDo experience. He and 4th Dan Master Cristina Iannone personally teach every class, so students receive experienced, consistent leadership—not classes run by teenagers or rotating junior instructors.

Every Dundee student attends the same Blackhawk facility and learns under the same two Masters from the first week through advanced training.
Anthony Iannone has trained in TaeKwonDo since 1982. Today, 7th Dan Grandmaster Anthony Iannone and 4th Dan Master Cristina Iannone bring decades of Traditional TaeKwonDo leadership to the floor together. Both served in the U.S. Army, and Dundee-area students work directly with them in class.
That matters when a student is learning focus, discipline and confidence. The people you meet during the trial are the people who continue leading the program.
The main training floor provides over 5,500 square feet of mat-covered space. Its open layout gives each age group room for fundamentals, forms, controlled partner work and progressive skill development.
A distinct 2,000-square-foot lounge for parents keeps families comfortably onsite while the teaching floor stays quiet and focused.
Your introductory week is a working evaluation: meet the instructors, learn how class flows and see how the student responds across multiple visits. Completing the week never triggers automatic enrollment.
Monday is the preferred starting day because it gives students a fuller week. New children are paired with a student mentor whenever possible, and a parent or guardian remains onsite for the entire trial class.

Students need an activity that can grow with them beyond a single recreation session. Blackhawk offers one established curriculum, consistent expectations and direct instruction from the same Masters as each student advances.
Families connected with Dundee Township Park District Preschool, St. Catherine of Siena Preschool, First Congregational Preschool and The Nest Schools can explore an age appropriate class focused on listening, balance and confident participation.
Students from Dundee Highlands Elementary and Dundee Middle can practice focus, respectful effort and self control through structured Traditional TaeKwonDo training.
Dundee Crown students can train toward meaningful rank goals while building practical self defense, resilience and personal responsibility.
Blackhawk TaeKwonDo is an independent martial arts school and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the schools, park district or childcare programs named above. All classes are held at our Carpentersville school.
Young students build listening skills, balance, coordination and familiarity with TaeKwonDo in a program designed for their stage of development.
Students work on traditional technique, focus, discipline and steady progress with instruction matched to school-age children and teenagers.
Adults train in dedicated classes with other adults. Beginners and returning martial artists can start without being placed into a children’s program.
After your request, we help match the student’s age and experience to an appropriate class.
Come about 10 minutes early. Wear a T-shirt and comfortable pants—no shorts, tank tops, yoga pants or leggings—and bring water.

Yes. Little Hawks serves ages 3–7, Kids & Teens serves ages 8–17, and adults age 18 and older train in dedicated adult classes.

Blackhawk TaeKwonDo welcomes East Dundee and West Dundee families connected with Dundee Highlands Elementary School, Dundee Middle School and Dundee Crown High School, along with children from nearby daycare, preschool and early learning programs.
The continuing curriculum gives Dundee area families an alternative to short seasonal sessions while keeping instruction consistent from beginner training through advanced rank.
