Can This Become a Routine Your Family Will Keep?

Gilberts families often compare more than an introductory price. The useful questions are practical: Is the route manageable from your part of town? Does the class match the student’s age? Who will provide instruction after the trial ends? Can a parent remain comfortably onsite?

Blackhawk is located at 2333 Randall Road in Carpentersville. We do not operate a second school in Gilberts. Before scheduling, use the map link and consider the trip at the time your family would normally attend.

The goal is not simply to begin. It is to find instruction and a routine worth continuing.

A Useful First Comparison

  • Confirm the correct age-specific program
  • Evaluate the route during your normal weekday schedule
  • Meet the same Masters who teach regular classes
  • Observe how students receive correction and encouragement
  • See whether the space supports focused learning
  • Use a complete week before making a membership decision

Leadership that stays consistent

The Trial Instructors Are the Regular Instructors.

Grandmaster Anthony Iannone has trained in TaeKwonDo for more than four decades. Master Cristina Iannone brings her own TaeKwonDo leadership and movement expertise to the school. Both served in the U.S. Army.

They personally teach every class. Blackhawk does not use an impressive introduction and then hand regular instruction to teenagers or rotating junior instructors. A Gilberts student gets to experience the actual leadership during the first week.

Room to train and room to observe

A Facility That Supports Both Students and Parents.

The school includes over 5,500 square feet of fully matted training space. The open floor gives each program room for fundamentals, forms and controlled partner drills without crowding the class.

A separate 2,000-square-foot parent lounge allows families to remain at the school, relax and talk while the teaching floor stays focused. Parents do not have to hover at the edge of class or interrupt instruction.

Experience more than one class

Plan a Gilberts-Area Trial Week.

One visit can feel unfamiliar. A full week gives the student time to learn names, understand the class flow and respond to coaching.

We prefer a Monday start when possible. New children are paired with a mentor whenever practical. A parent or guardian stays onsite for every child’s trial class.
